The family owned company, named "Agrovet", is one of the leading meat processing companies in Lithuanian meat market. The history of the company reaches 1992. While growing through years and using financial injections and investments in equipment, quality systems and human resources the company became modern and was enabled to use high technologies and progressive processes of work. JSC "Agrovet" is located in Kretingale village, in Klaipeda‘s county that lies by the ice-free seaport of Baltic sea. A dense network of motorways and main routes, Lithuania's largest railway junction, Palanga Airport and Klaipéda Seaport create excellent conditions for business development and product export to the neighboring countries.

JSC „Agrovet" is recognized as a strong export leader in Lithuanian agricultural market. With regard to active, high-quality, flexible work and ability to satisfy the consumer‘s needs, the company developed stable and long-term trading relationships with many counties from the western, eastern, northern and southern Europe, Russia and other Asian countries. At this time the export of JSC „Agrovet" is nearly 50 % of all total annual sales. In 2009 the total turnover of sales was almost 50 million euro.

There are several activities, that JSC „Agrovet" is engaged including slaughtering, deboning, packaging, thermal processing, making precooked and other meat products in consumer packaging.
